Manhattan Theatre Club’s Broadway premiere of Time Stands Still has extended for one week, through March 27, at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. The company’s next production, a Broadway mounting of Collected Stories, will now begin performances on April 9 rather than April 6 and will open on April 28. Both plays are by Donald Margulies.
Directed by Daniel Sullivan, Time Stands Still opened on January 28 to strong reviews. The story of a photographer and journalist who return from a war zone with the prospect of living a conventional life, the play stars Laura Linney, Brian d’Arcy James, Eric Bogosian and Alicia Silverstone.
Collected Stories, which has been produced off-Broadway twice, will star Linda Lavin and Sarah Paulson.
